Just playing around with a gun design. Perhaps it has something to do with what I'm working on, or perhaps its a visual for an RP I'm gaming, but I'm not tellin'. Besides its innocuous enough. More designs to follow.

Cool... It looks like a gun that a person that lived during the Civil War then got transported to an alien planet would make. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
yeah... definitely looks like an old sci fi interpretation of a gun...hmmm...please do tell!
When you design all this stuff, you do think only of the look of the prop or is it more important to think about the functionality and the reasons for the design? For example, with the big round golden thing on the top of the gun, it is just a visual thing to make the gun look ad hoc to the universe of the story (or just to look cool and different) or does it means that the gun works with high speed revolving ions that shoot and explode upon impact or something like that?

Sant Arellano----- I do think about function as well as the visuall design. Hopefully I can get them to go hand in hand and work in concert. Since the gun does shoot a type of bullet I liked the idea of a big drum on it that can be like a kind of accelerator. My wife pointed out that the drum should be dropped as to not obscure aiming but the creatures that use this don't aim. Well....at least not with the pistol.
As for Colossus get it off Amazon. Let me know what you think.
