AFTERWORKS 2
Its about time I posted something. Sorry for the wait. Ive been busy, what with a feature film to board, moving, kid number 4 on the way and just the ins and oits of everyday life.
But here it is. Two clean up pgs from my short story that will be in Afterworks 2 published by
comics. And guess what. they are also putting out Afterworks 1. Awesome!!!
I am busy drawing away in the wee late of the night and Kondo is furiously painting my pages as I finish them. Im halfway through so its coming along....slow but coming none the less. These pgs took 3-4 hours to cleam up. Its nuts. So enjoy and please send your comments- its not like Im too busy to respond or anything.

Idiot Circus Boy---- 16 pgs is not a lot so crammingthe action is just a biproduct. heh heh. Yeah AW1 is going to be cool. Both volumes being put out by IMAGE is fabulous for collectors. its all about the continuity.
Piotr Walczuk ----- Thanks. the detail is driving me nuts, its both fun and its own kind of hell at the same time.

Three to four hours? Just goes to show the amount of effort you put into each page. So, by "cleanup", do you mean you're tracing over the rough drawings one by one?
Once again, great work!
Now, about that feature film... :)

Brian Growe-----Thanks man, just wait till you see the whole story and in KONDO-color.
Rohit----- Yep! clean up is going over your rough tiedowns. And from what I hear 3-4 hrs- thats on the fast side. Some of the guys I know are putting in a lot of love with dynamic thick thin line- it takes them 8-10 hrs to clean up a pg. And they're working with me on my movie!!!!

Looks awesome Mark. This Afterworks 2 is shaping up to be an exciting book.
I have to say, Mark, how awesome it is to see how far you've come from years ago. With the films, Clone Wars, etc., etc.,...not to mention the accolades.
I've wanted to tell you for a while but had no idea how to contact you. I was reading about Cars this afternoon and saw that you directed the feature that will head the film, One Man Band, and a mini search ensued...and here I am.
Really terrific stuff, as I always thought from your sketchbooks way back then.
I simply must pick up a copy of Colossus. It looks fantastic.

OMangueOTangue----- Thanks Leah for the feedback. Santa Barbara doesn't seem that long ago. yet it is and thats freaky. I'm having a ball and there is so much more to do.
