You know, even if these are just color studies, they look great as a final product as well. There's a nice haunted quality to it. That might not be the aim here (going by the sketches), but as a style I think it's really cool and could lend itself well to certain stories.

Keep up the great work :)

The grittyness of it! I was coughing up dust while looking at the pics! Why don't you just lay your lines right over the comps in Photoshop? I dunno. Just a suggestion. Don't come after me with a foil!!

Moth---- hey hey hey elder Mathot!!! Shhhh don't tell anyone- Marvel might get nervous.

Alina Chau--- thank you- Kondo kicks but.

Skribbl--- It could be done that way- we're still working it out. there's something about it being tight thats cool, more finished but there's a lot to say about energy of line and not staying in those lines. whatever we do It'll be cool- and I'd come after you with foil epee sabre rapier and broadsword if I has ta. heh heh

Heather--- Its all Kondo I just said go. He did the rest. Im really liking the pallet hes using. Its already looking sweet. Altogether when its completed it will be georgeous. GO KONDO!!!

Hey Mark. This is looking really awesome. I think I might agree with Scribbl a bit with laying lines over the comps. When I was looking at the boards you had up at MOMA I was impressed, no, BLOWN away with how kinetic, direct and cinematic your roughs are. You draw like a camera!! It looks like the tone you're going for and the story itself would really benefit from a less polished approach. Either way, It'll be awesome.

Hi Mark.

I'm a big fan of yours. I'm an animtion and design student in India.

I've been following your work ever since I saw you on The Incredibles DVD that I have.

As part of our semester, we have a comic book workshop of three weeks during which we have to create a comic book.

I'm just starting out with my concept. Taking inspiration from you, I've made a blog - http://kavach.blogspot.com/ - not for others, but mainly for myself to keep me at it.

Man! I wish I had a Cintiq. But for now, I think my pencil, paper and scanner will have to do.

I also wish I had a copy of COLOSSUS. I doubt I'd find one here in India.

I tried mailing you a long time ago. I don't think you got my email. Could you send me your email address?

Again, great work! I'm always on this blog looking for new stuff. Keep it up.
