So I was modeling a ship based off of a triangle- cause its cool- then just went from there and tried variants on cockpits and proportions and stuff and developed a little fleet.
Mark these are wicked cool. I'm a complete sucker for that sharp, cutty V-triangle shape language, so these hit a lotta sweet spots for me. I especially like how some of the smaller craft have a slightly retro-scifi feel, like in those old movies where you'd see a rocketship landing vertically with its rear fins acting as landing gear, or like The Last Starfighter as a more recent 80s example. Don't know if that was intentional on your part or if you even imagine them landing like that but I thought the slight similarity was pretty neat.
JUST started learning Sketchup myself, and only a few hours into it I can sense the insane potential with this program. It's completely revolutionizing the way I approach mechanical design.
It was so nice meeting you on portfolio day! Your feedback on my stuff was solid and gold and I'll make sure to keep it in mind forever. Thank you so much!
